HTML clipboard Group from Italy trains at Chakrapani Ayurveda

Every year groups from Italy under the leadership of Ms. Sadbhawana and Prof. Aryabushan Bharadwaj, visit Chakrapani Ayurveda Center to train in Ayurveda and to explore Ayurveda. This year, the group from Italy arrived at the center at 10 am on 23rd August and was cordially welcomed in the Indian traditional way with Aarti, tilak and mala by Dr. Aditi and the rest of the staff members of Chakrapani. Following Pooja and salutation to Lord Dhanwantari, there was welcome speech by Dr.Parvathy, inauguration and blessings from Prof. Aryabushan Bharadwaj. The function was a memorable moment. The group was given theory classes on interesting and advanced aspects of Ayurveda by prestigious Acharya Aryabhushan Bharadwaj followed by demonstration of Ayurveda therapies like Marma Abhyangam, Ayurvedic beauty care, preparation of medicated ghee, and creams. They were also given 2 hour training and practice sessions in the evening by Dr. Aditi, Dr. Parvathy, and Dr. Fiyonika.


The group resided in Jaipur for 1 week and obtained Practical training, knowledge in Panchakarma therapy and classical Ayurveda methods. They were given certificates on completion of the course. They were given exposure to Indian culture and traditional Indian foods and they also visited interesting places in Jaipur and rest of India. After the intense 1 week program the group returned to Italy on September 3rd.

Some Important tips for Melasma


Since anemia is one of the reasons for melasma, nutrition should be corrected in diet. Favor Indian gooseberry (Amalaki), turmeric, beetroot, spinach, figs and pomegranate in the diet.


Reduce intake of Tamarind, Spicy, salty foods and drinks, Garlic and Green chillies, Curd (Yoghurt), Alcohol and alcoholic products, Eggs, Fish, Chicken, excessive exposure to hot sun, and reduce the use of birth control pills and long time hormonal therapies.


These changes will help in prevention and healing of Melasma.


Home remedies for Melasma


1. Apply fresh aloe vera juice on face, leave it for 15 minutes and wash with warm water.
2. Application of Orange skin fresh or powder mixed with milk – Gentle application followed by warm water wash after 30 minutes. This can be done once in a week.
3. Application of fresh lemon juice with gentle massage followed by warm water wash after 10 minutes, weekly once helps.
4. Application of turmeric powder mixed with warm milk – 2 – 3 tablespoon of turmeric powder mixed with 6 tablespoon of milk and applied all over the face followed by warm massage for 20 minutes and wash with warm water helps. But this gives a yellow tinge on the skin due to the color of turmeric.
5. Soak charoli seeds (Buchanania lanza) in milk for 1 hour, grind it and apply as a pack for 15 – 20 minutes followed by warm water wash.
6. Tulsi leaves can be made into paste and applied on the face followed by warm water wash after 15 minutes.
7. Ayurveda recommends the usage of triphala powder internally and externally for Melasma.


Triphala for external use:
 

Soak 10 gm triphala coarse powder in 1 glass water overnight. Filter it and use it for washing face next morning. Repeat the same procedure in the morning and use it at night. Do this daily.
 

Triphala for internal use:
 

Take 1 tsp of triphala with 1 glass warm water daily at bed time.
